2nd NIDO-RUSSIA DAY- "Nigeria: The Next 50 Years"
You are cordially invited to the 2nd Annual Nigeria Diaspora Russia Day/Conference, scheduled as follows:
Date: Sunday, October 31st, 2010
Time: from 15.00 to 19.00 hours
Venue: Conference Hall, Embassy of Nigeria, Moscow
As this month marks the 50th Anniversary of Nigeria's Independence, hence this Year's NIDO-Russia Diaspora Day will also be around this moment. No wonder why the theme of this Forum is " Nigeria: The Next 50 Years."
Remember, we might not to be blamed for the shape of the last 50 years of Nigeria's existence, but we each have responsibility for the shape of the next 50 years.
By format, the conference will be mostly interactive, but netherless we are seeking papers on different spheres of Nigeria development. Presenters are expected to analyze professionally and maturely the future of the country in his/her area of topic. The best paper(s), by the opinion of the audience, will get the prize of the day, while other papers will also draw some consolatory prizes. All the papers will be compiled for publication in our up-coming special monograph.
We are expecting to join us in this event some government and diplomatic officials.
A Nigerian-owned television channel, based in London, might be around to cover the event, so please be more composed and professional in your analysis.
Kindly notify us of your paper on or before October 26th, so that we can put you on the program.
For any enquiry, please feel free to get in touch.
Bashir Obasekola, PhD
Moderator for the event.
