The work of representatives of Russian companies in the business trip to Abuja, Lagos, the

Federal Republic of Nigeria from May 19 to May 25, 2019.

23-00 Arrival in Abuja, meeting with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abuja, transfer to the hotel “Bon Hotel Abuja”, accommodation in a hotel, rest.
May 20, Monday
08-00 Breakfast at the hotel, departure to the Chamber of Commerce of Abuja (ACCI International Convention Center Hall) to prepare for the presentation.
10-00 Participation in the presentation of Russian companies.
12-00 Participation in B2B meetings (there are companies by the profile of the participants of the presentation (information about companies is attached)
16-30 Meeting with the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Abuja Mr. Adetokundo Kayode San on cooperation issues.
10-00 Negotiation in departments on the profile of companies.
14-30 Meeting with representatives of the business of Abuja.
19-30 The friendly dinner with representatives of ministries and departments, participants in the presentation.

Business Conference 2018
Theme: Re-Activation of Nigeria - Russia Business Council

On the 18th of December 2018, a new page was opened in trade relations between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Russian Federation.

At the joint conference with NIDO Russia (The Russian Chapter of Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation, Europe) and with the presence of the Deputy Head of Mission, representing the Nigerian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E., Prof. Steve S Ugbah, an MoU was signed by the President of Abuja Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Prince Adetokunbo Kayode (SAN) and the Chairman of the Russia Nigeria Business Council, Mr. Dmitry Osipov.

According to the Chairman of NIDO Russia, Mr. Rex Essenowo, the event which took place at the main building of the Russian Chamber of Commerce & Indiustries, was a very significant move with the signing of the Memorandum and the great move in the right direction, a process which was long awaited and very welcome development.

A keynote adress was delivered at the occasion by Mrs. Mercy Haruna, representing the Nigerian Ambassador to the Russian Federation, H.E., Prof. Steve T. Ugbah

As the conference provided wide opportunities for Russian Businesses, Investors and members of the Nigerian Diaspora in Russia to explore new entrepreneural partnership, interacting with business people, SMEs, and project developers from Nigeria and the Russian Federation

According the Mr. Rex Essenowo, NIDO Russia is coming up with a Russia - Nigerian Trade and Investment development plan for it's members; a roadmap, designed to enable them tap into the new opportunities while boosting Russia Nigeria Trade and Investment relations through SME's Innovation and technology.

This will consist of projects identified soley for joints cooperation with the Business Councils, deriving from current demand of the Nigerian economy, some which were partly reflected in the key presentations that were made by companies, like projects on Quick building technology for Nigeria, Solar Energy, Water purification/ treatment, General building and Construction, Agric/ Fertilizers, Logistics, etc.

It was a great way to end of year 2018 with a remarkable Business meeting between the Russia Nigeria Business council (RNBC), the Nigeria Russia Business Council (NRBC), in collaboration with NIDO Russia, because it opens 2019 with new percpectives on wide range of cooperation in different sectors.

Another significant moment was the presentation of NIDO Russia Awards for 2018.

The winners of the Award were given Diaspora Certificates of Recognition for various contributions towards Nigeria & Africa's economic and friendship developnent, as well as, support to NIDO Russia.
